Hello! I am Belinda Jones a Visual Artist and Media Studies Lecturer based in Mumbai, India, who has ventured into the world of animation. I enjoy bringing stories and concepts to life through experimental mixed media animation.
Animation, for me, is like a bridge between two fields I absolutely love – painting and filmmaking. It's a medium that allows me to express my ideas in unique ways and push my visual language beyond the limits of a traditional narrative. In painting I find joy in crafting vibrant abstracts, playing around with colours, textures, and different mediums. I attempt to bring these fine art elements to my animation, aiming for a deep and meaningful visual experience. In my pursuit of visualisation, I am constantly drawn towards the challenge of interpreting music and language.
I am open to engaging in projects where I can contribute either independently or as part of a collaborative team.
